Castello Romitorio's Brunello di Montalcino Filo di Seta is produced from pure Sangiovese grapes from company vineyards located north-west of Montalcino, at an altitude of approximately 350 meters above sea level. After the careful manual harvest, the bunches were destemmed and further selected. The alcoholic fermentation took place in concrete vats at a controlled temperature, with maceration of the must on the skins for 20 days. Before bottling, this sensational red was aged for 36 months in large oak barrels.

The Brunello di Montalcino Filo di Seta by Castello Romitorio is ruby red in color with garnet reflections. Large and complex, the nose opens with aromas of ripe red fruits followed by hints of iris and peony and notes of citrus and dark spices. Enveloping hints of eucalyptus, noble woods, tobacco and chocolate enrich the bouquet. On the palate it is generous, structured and juicy, with silky tannins and an elegant minerality that flows into the long balsamic and spicy finish. It pairs perfectly with mature cheeses and opulent land dishes, especially if based on red meat or game.
