The Aglianico vineyard of Tenuta Fonzone in Paternopoli extends along the two sides of a hill, whose altitude varies from 360 to 430 m above sea level, with different exposures and generally clayey soils , which also exhibit consistent variations from zone to zone. From the most downstream portion we produce the grapes for this wine, harvested in late October and briefly macerated, and then aged for ten months in stainless steel and, only in small part, in second wood and third pass. Designed to be appreciated in its most immediate characteristics, Irpinia Aglianico DOC is a versatile interpretation of the noble grape variety Irpino.
