The Chardonnay by Livio Felluga is a white wine made from hand-picked Chardonnay grapes in small crates. The reference terroir is characterized by soil composed of the so-called ponca, an alternation of marls and sandstones of Eocene origin capable of giving the wine an unmistakable minerality. In the winery, after destemming, the grapes underwent a short maceration period and were then gently pressed. The alcoholic fermentation of the must took place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The aging lasted 6 months in stainless steel in contact with the yeasts.
CHARDONNAY LIVIO FELLUGA: TASTING
The Chardonnay by Livio Felluga presents itself with a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, it opens with aromas of renetta apple, white peach, and yellow tropical fruit followed by floral notes of wisteria, jasmine, and elderflower. The bouquet is completed by hints of thyme and moss and citrusy memories. With excellent taste-olfactory coherence, the sip is soft and balanced, supported by a decisive and persistent mineral freshness. At the table, it is perfect with cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as with tasty preparations based on white fish, mollusks, and shellfish.
