Peperino di Teruzzi was obtained from 60% Sangiovese and 40% Merlot grapes grown in the Casetta area in the San Gimignano district (SI). The original vineyards lie on sandy and clayey soils, at an altitude of approximately 200 meters above sea level. During winemaking, the maceration of the must in contact with the skins took place in truncated conical stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 28°C. The refinement took place for 12 months partly in stainless steel, partly in 3rd and 4th passage French oak barriques and tonneaux.
PEPERINO TERUZZI: TASTING
Teruzzi's Rosso Peperino stands out in the glass with an intense ruby red color. On the nose it offers aromas of morello cherry and ripe red fruits which encounter light hints of violet and enveloping woody notes and dark spices. The taste is intense and structured, supported by smooth tannins and a pleasant fruity and spicy finish. To be tasted together with cured meats and cheeses as well as in combination with tasty land recipes based on red meat or game.
Estimated between Thursday 8 May and Wednesday 14 May.
