The Sangiovese Beneficio Riserva by Costa Archi is a pure Sangiovese that comes from the Beneficio Vineyard of the same name, from various clones of both Tuscan and Romagna biotypes. We are in the Serra di Castel Bolognese, where the soils are characterized by advanced red clays or other more yellow clays, rich in limestone deposits. The grapes are vinified in small 7.5 hectoliter fiberglass vats (Gabriele Succi knew how to valorise the work in the small space of the original cellar of the maternal farm from the beginning) with maceration lasting approximately 20 days. After spontaneous malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in multi-passage tonneaux for 12 months, then 24 months in cement tanks and a further 12 in the bottle.SANGIOVESE BENEFICIO RISERVA: TASTINGThe Sangiovese Serra Il Beneficio Riserva by Costa Archi is bright ruby with garnet reflections . On the nose it smells of macerated berries, cloves, lavender, roasting and forest balms. In the mouth it is rich and enveloping, with vivid tannins, citrus freshness, lots of fruit and a certain nice flavor; delicious with the "surprise cotechino", a roast fillet stuffed with cotechino, a regional tradition.
Estimated between Thursday 8 May and Wednesday 14 May.
