Delivery and Returns

Jacopo Biondi Santi's Sassoalloro is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso BBS11 grapes (exclusive clone of the Biondi Santi winery) coming from the Castello di Montepò company estate in the Scansano (GR) area. Of the 50 hectares of vineyards owned, 70% are cultivated with Sangiovese while the remaining 30% with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The original vineyards of this splendid red - exposed to the West and South-West and with an average age of around 20 years - lie on soils naturally rich in marl, at an altitude between 350 and 450 meters above sea level . The refinement of Jacopo Biondi Santi's Sassoalloro took place in untoasted barriques of the Troncais variety for a period of 14 months.
SASSOALLORO TOSCANA ROSSO JACOPO BIONDI SANTI: TASTING
The Sassoalloro by Jacopo Biondi Santi is presented in the glass with a ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it expresses aromas of small ripe berries which combine with floral hints of violets and light notes of dark oriental spices. The sip is harmonious, elegant, supported by a smooth tannic texture and a satisfying freshness. At the table it pairs well with semi-mature and mature cheeses as well as tasty land recipes based on red meat or game.
Estimated between Thursday 8 May and Wednesday 14 May.
