ADM design resin sculptures are the result of research for the creation of objects suitable to decorate contemporary and trendy environments with taste, color and imagination. Most of these are made of resin, a material now widespread for the production of furniture products. The process to make a resin sculpture is totally handmade. The ideas of our designers are put on paper through sketches, following which skilled sculptors shape by hand a clay model also called “soul” that is used for the construction of molds in gum. The resin is added to a hardening liquid and cast manually into the molds. Once the resin has hardened, the molds are opened by extracting the raw sculptures, which before they can be decorated, must be cleaned of burrs or processing residues, repaired, sanded and washed manually. When the surface of the piece is perfect, a dense paint called a “primer” is sprayed that acts as the basis for the final decoration, which will be different depending on whether you want to obtain a matte, shiny, metallic or other effect. In the event that the sculpture cannot support itself, it is mounted on a marble support that makes it stable. You can therefore now understand how much manual labor it takes to create these works before being ready to embellish your home, and how different their artisanal value is compared to plastic objects. made in large series with automatic machines.
