André Clouet Grand Cru Brut Nature Silver Champagne is a refined sparkling wine based on Pinot Noir. The grapes come from Bouzy in the southern part of the prestigious Montaigne de Reims area. The vineyards here are rooted in schistose soils of volcanic origin which are particularly rich in chalk. The winemaking took place 90% in stainless steel and 10% in used barriques supplied by Chateau Doisy Daene, famous producer of Sauternes. According to the rules of the Champenoise (or Classic) Method, the second fermentation took place in the bottle where the wine rested for 36 months in contact with the yeasts. The cuvèe included a percentage of 35% reserve wines.

André Clouet Grand Cru Brut Nature Silver Champagne is straw yellow in color with brilliant reflections enhanced by a lively perlage. On the nose it offers aromas of currants and yellow pulp fruit combined with hints of white flowers and shy notes of grapefruit and aromatic herbs. The olfactory profile is complemented by hints of chalkiness and hints of bread crust. The sip is deep and elegant supported by a vertical minerality and a long citrus and almond finish. Perfect as an aperitif at the table, it pairs well with cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as light seafood recipes. Try it with the sea bass, mango and pine nut tartare.
