The Chianti Classico Pèppoli by Antinori is made from Sangiovese grapes (90%), Merlot, and Syrah (10%) vinified separately in stainless steel. The original vineyards are located within the Tenuta Pèppoli, which extends over 100 hectares (of which 50 are planted with vines), 5 kilometers from the prestigious Tenuta Tignanello, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. The alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature between 26°C and 28°C with a maceration on the skins of about 7 days for the Sangiovese and 12-15 days for the other varieties. After blending, carried out after malolactic fermentation, the wine rested for about 9 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and, for a small portion, in barriques and stainless steel tanks.
CHIANTI CLASSICO PÈPPOLI ANTINORI: THE TASTING
The Chianti Classico Pèppoli by Antinori shines in the glass with a ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose, it expresses floral notes of violet and juicy aromas of sour cherry and red fruit combined with subtle balsamic notes and sweet spices. The taste is smooth, enhanced by a polished tannic structure that pairs well with a pleasant savoriness and a gentle trail of freshness. At the table, it pairs well with cured meats and semi-aged cheeses as well as delicious dishes based on red meats and game.

The Antinori Family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: from when, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florentine Art of the Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, through 26 generations, the family has always managed this business directly with innovative and sometimes courageous choices but always maintaining respect for traditions and for the territory. Tradition, passion and intuition were the driving qualities that led the Antinori Marquises to establish themselves as one of the main Italian producers of high quality wines.
