Etna Bianco by Barone di Villagrande was produced from 90% Carricante grapes with the addition of 10% of other Etna vines grown in the territory of Milo (CT), on the eastern side of the Etna volcano. The vineyards of origin insist on lava-matrix soils, naturally rich in iron and copper, with a good content of phosphorus, magnesium and potassium and completely free of calcium, at an altitude of approximately 700 meters above sea level. The vinification and refinement took place in stainless steel where the wine rested for a period of 10 months before bottling.ETNA BIANCO BARONE DI VILLAGRANDE: THE TASTINGThe Etna Bianco di Barone di Villagrande presents itself at the sight of a color pale straw yellow. On the nose it expresses aromas of white fruit that intertwine with fragrant hints of spring flowers and a light note of flint. The sip is fresh and pleasant, enhanced by a clear minerality that persists in the finish. At the table it pairs well with fresh and semi-mature cheeses as well as vegetarian dishes and tasty seafood recipes based on white fish and shellfish.
