Barolo by Bruno Giacosa is the materialization of the qualitative greatness of those vineyards and of that practical knowledge that distinguishes and elevates the wines of this mythological company. The grapes come exclusively from the Castiglione Falletto area. With 135 hectares of vineyards, this is the sixth largest municipality in the Barolo area, and is located exactly in the center of the denomination. The distinctive feature is the great richness and heterogeneity of the soils, with several sub-areas endowed with characteristics that vary according to the geological structure, which leads to a particular balance between aromas, elegance and structure. The processing of the grapes takes place according to tradition and the wine then ages for 30 months in large barrels. BAROLO BRUNO GIACOSA: TASTING Bruno Giacosa's Barolo Falletto has a typical garnet colour. The nose is intense with notes of ripe cherry, strawberry and macerated blackberry, rose, violet, iris, aromatic herbs, balsamic liquorice and a light undergrowth reminiscent of truffles. The sip is tasty and proportionate, with fine and ripe tannin. To be tasted alone, possibly uncorking a few hours before, then to be accompanied for example with a white truffle risotto, or with the scamerita with porcini mushrooms.

Bruno Giacosa, after starting to help his grandfather in the winery, purchased the Falletto vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba in 1982, which then became a true Agricultural Company.
Today, the owned hectares amount to twenty, extending between Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra, and Barbaresco. The wines of the Falletto Agricultural Company all come from owned vineyards and are vinified in its own cellars in Neive.
