Barbera d'Alba DOC 2024 - 0.75 L
Description
The Barbera d'Alba DOC 2024 is a red wine from Piedmont made from Barbera grapes, one of the most cultivated and well-known varieties in the region. Likely originating from the hills of Monferrato, Barbera has since spread widely to the Alba area, where it has found an ideal environment to express its vigorous, productive, and versatile nature. This exuberance often requires special attention in the vineyard to obtain balanced, intense wines that can accurately convey the terroir of origin.
Considered a wine of significant tradition, Barbera d'Alba DOC can take on different nuances depending on the grape's origin. Its character is further enhanced by aging, which progressively harmonizes its components and makes the sip finer over time. In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red color, while on the nose it offers a rich, fruity, and vinous profile. On the palate, it is dry, fresh, and lively, supported by the natural acidity of the grape; with bottle aging, it tends to acquire greater softness and complexity.
Pairing and serving
The Barbera d'Alba DOC 2024 should be served at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C. It is a wine suitable for flavorful and well-structured dishes, ideal with game, roasts, pork, boiled meats, and spicy cheeses. To best preserve it, it is advisable to keep the bottle lying down, in a dark, cool place protected from temperature fluctuations. Thanks to its natural predisposition to evolution, it can benefit from aging in the bottle for several years.

Bruno Giacosa, after starting to help his grandfather in the winery, purchased the Falletto vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba in 1982, which then became a true Agricultural Company.
Today, the owned hectares amount to twenty, extending between Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra, and Barbaresco. The wines of the Falletto Agricultural Company all come from owned vineyards and are vinified in its own cellars in Neive.
