The Bolgheri Magari from Ca' Marcanda Gaja is made from Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), and Cabernet Franc (25%) grapes grown in Santa Teresa, in the splendid territory of Bolgheri. During vinification, the grapes underwent alcoholic fermentation with must maceration in contact with the skins for a period of 12 days. Before being marketed, the Bolgheri Rosso DOC Magari 2017 from Ca' Marcanda Gaja aged for 18 months in French oak barriques.

The Bolgheri Magari from Ca' Marcanda Gaja presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of plum and small forest fruits in jam that intertwine with hints of Mediterranean scrub and timid notes of flint and dark, sweet spices. The palate is soft and deep, enhanced by a smooth tannic structure and a gentle fresh-salty trail that lingers in the long finish. At the table, it pairs well with aged cheeses as well as flavorful land-based recipes featuring red meats and game.
