The Brunello di Montalcino by Col d'Orcia is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on the hill of Sant'Angelo in the Montalcino (SI) area, with a south-facing exposure and an average altitude of 300 meters above sea level. After the harvest (which is done by hand with a yield of 46 quintals per hectare), the bunches were further selected on sorting tables in the winery. For this prestigious red, the alcoholic fermentation process took place in stainless steel, in contact with the skins for a duration of 18-20 days, at a controlled temperature that did not exceed 28°C. The aging took place for 36 months in Allier and Slavonian oak barrels of 25-50 hectoliters and 75 hectoliters, followed by an additional 12 months in the bottle.

The Brunello di Montalcino by Col d'Orcia presents itself in the glass with a light ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of marasca and ripe berries emerge, intertwined with hints of sweet oriental spices and slight balsamic notes. The palate is full and balanced, supported by a smooth tannic structure and a delicate salinity that lingers in the finish. At the table, it pairs well with aged cheeses and succulent recipes based on red meats and game.
