The Nebbiolo from Cordero di Montezemolo was obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes harvested in the municipalities of La Morra, Alba and in the Roero area (CN) to which bunches of Nebbiolo from Barolo were added from 6-7 year old plants. age. The vineyards stand on clay-silty soils with variable presence of sand and trace elements. The harvest was carried out strictly by hand, between the months of September and October. In the cellar, the red vinification included a phase of alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the must on the skins in stainless steel, with the addition of whole grapes, for a period of 8-10 days. The malolactic fermentation, which refined the structure and aromatic profile of the wine, took place in stainless steel and partly in wood. Before marketing, the Nebbiolo d'Alba from Cordero di Montezemolo rested for 4-5 months in stainless steel and for 2 months in the bottle.

The Nebbiolo from Cordero di Montezemolo presents a ruby red color with brilliant reflections. On the nose it releases aromas of small ripe red fruits together with floral hints of violet and hints of tobacco, coffee and dark spices. The sip is intense, savory and elegant, enhanced by silky tannins and a soft fruity and slightly spicy finish. At the table it pairs well with cured meats and cheeses as well as tasty land preparations. Try it with risotto with porcini mushrooms and sausage.
