Donnafugata's Lucido Prio bears the historic name of Catarratto in Sicily. The word "prio" is also part of the Sicilian dialect and means joy, celebrated on the label with the unexpected and authentic joy of a woman, sitting on the beach at sunset on an early summer day, "kissed" by a butterfly it lands on his face. We are in south-western Sicily, between 200 and 400 meters above the sea, on clayey soils rich in nutritional elements; the climate is mild, with strong day-night temperature variations. The grapes are harvested in the first ten days of September and fermented in steel at a controlled temperature; the wine then ages in the tank for about 2 months and a further 3 in the bottle.

Donnafugata's Lucido Prio has a bright straw yellow colour. On the nose it is fragrant, with pleasant citrus scents of cedar and grapefruit combined with delicate floral notes of elderberry and jasmine and a light hint of flint. The mouth is quite fresh with a perfect taste-olfactory correspondence. So good with lemon chicken strips!
