Nero d'Avola Sherazade by Donnafugata takes its name from the symbolic female protagonist of the "One Thousand and One Nights". Sherazade is the freshest and youngest corporate version of Nero d'Avola, designed to start the evening. We are in south-western Sicily, between 200 and 400 meters above the sea, on clayey soils rich in nutritional elements; the climate is mild, with strong day-night temperature variations. The grapes are harvested between the end of August and the beginning of September and vinified in steel at a controlled temperature, with short maceration on the skins, lasting approximately 6-8 days; the wine then ages in the tank for about 4 months and a further 3 in the bottle.

Donna Fugata's Nero d'Avola Sherazade has a brilliant ruby red color with violet reflections. From the nose focused on the fruit, hints of plum and cherry emerge, combined with a delicate spiciness of black pepper and balsamic-aromatic notes of incense, fresh oregano and tomato. On the palate it corresponds well to the olfactory profile, it is soft and supported by good freshness, with well-integrated tannin. Excellent, slightly refreshed, in the company of absolutely Mediterranean dishes, for example Napoli pizza or Sicilian fish soup.
