The Lucido Prio by Donnafugata carries the historic name of Catarratto in Sicily. The word "prio" is also part of the Sicilian dialect and means joy, celebrated on the label with the unexpected and authentic cheerfulness of a woman, sitting on the beach at sunset on the first day of summer, "kissed" by a butterfly resting on her face. We are in southwestern Sicily, between 200 and 400 meters above sea level, on clayey-silty soils rich in nutrients; the climate is mild, with strong day-night temperature variations. The grapes are harvested in the first decade of September and fermented in steel at controlled temperature; the wine then matures in tank for about 2 months and an additional 3 in bottle.

The Lucido Prio by Donnafugata presents a bright straw yellow color. On the nose, it is fragrant, with pleasant citrus aromas of cedar and grapefruit combined with delicate floral notes of elderflower and jasmine and a slight hint of flint. The palate is quite fresh with a perfect taste-aroma correspondence. It pairs wonderfully with lemon chicken strips!
