The Chardonnay Sicilia DOC La Fuga by Donnafugata is a white wine that reflects the oenological excellence of Sicily. Coming from the vineyards located in the Contessa Entellina estate, in the southwestern part of the island, this Chardonnay is the result of careful winemaking that respects the territory. The combination of a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and mild winters, and calcareous and clayey soils gives this wine a unique and distinctive character. The Chardonnay grapes are hand-picked during the coolest hours of the day to best preserve the aromas and freshness. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by aging on the lees for about six months, which gives the wine greater complexity and structure.

With a brilliant straw yellow color, La Fuga offers a fragrant bouquet with notes of tropical fruit and citrus peels (lemon) along with delicate hints of white flowers. On the palate, it is savory and fresh thanks to a pleasant acidic vein.
