Elvio Cogno's Nebbiolo Montegrilli was produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Novello area, in the province of Cuneo, one of the municipalities part of Barolo. The winemaking was carried out entirely in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The refinement took place in stainless steel for a period of 8 months, including a period of 60 days on the yeasts which enriched the wine in terms of body, aromas and extracted substances. Finally, Elvio Cogno's Nebbiolo Montegrilli rested for a further 6 months in the bottle.
NEBBIOLO MONTEGRILLI BY ELVIO COGNO: THE TASTING
The Nebbiolo Montegrilli by Elvio Cogno is presented in the glass with a pale ruby red color. On the nose it releases aromas of small red fruits which combine with floral hints of rose and violet and shy spicy notes of white pepper. The sip is pleasant and balanced, enhanced by a smooth tannic texture and a finely fruity taste that persists in the finish. At the table it pairs well with mature cheeses as well as tasty land recipes based on red meat or game.
