The Rosso di Montalcino Ciampoleto by Tenuta San Giorgio is a refined expression of the Montalcino territory, resulting from a handcrafted approach that respects Tuscan tradition. The estate is located in the southeast area of the municipality, in a hilly position that enjoys a microclimate favorable for the cultivation of Sangiovese. The vineyards, situated between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, extend over soils rich in galestro and clay, elements that give the wine structure and complexity. The Rosso di Montalcino Ciampoleto is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, hand-harvested and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with temperature control, followed by aging for a few months in medium-sized oak barrels. The result is a young yet substantial wine that represents the fresher and more accessible soul of the denomination, ideal for those who wish to discover the authentic character of Montalcino.

The Ciampoleto presents itself in the glass with a vibrant ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses clear aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, and plum, accompanied by delicate floral notes of violet and slight hints of sweet spices. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and well-structured, with fine tannins and a pleasant acidity that supports the drinkability. The finish is elegant and persistent, with fruity and slightly balsamic returns. Perfect with flavorful first courses, white meats, and medium-aged cheeses.
