The Merlot Veneto IGT Le Poesie is a red wine that combines the typical softness of the grape variety with the winemaking vocation of Veneto. Produced by Cantina di Soave, one of the most rooted and representative cooperatives in the region, this Merlot is part of the Le Poesie line, created to offer quality everyday wines that are accessible yet carefully crafted at every stage of production. The Merlot, an international grape variety of great versatility, finds in the clay soils and temperate climate of the hilly areas of Veneto ideal conditions to express itself with balance, medium body, and well-recognizable fruity notes. Fermentation takes place in steel, with a brief aging that preserves the freshness and drinkability of the wine, making it perfect for immediate consumption. It is an ideal choice to accompany simple meals, white meat dishes, pasta with ragù, and semi-aged cheeses, but it can also be enjoyed on its own in informal occasions.
Merlot Veneto IGT Le Poesie - Cantina di Soave: Tasting notes
It presents itself in the glass with an intense and lively ruby red color. The bouquet is direct and fragrant, with hints of cherry, blackberry, and ripe plum, accompanied by light spicy nuances and a vegetal touch typical of the grape variety. On the palate, it is soft, round, and pleasant, with delicate tannins, good freshness, and a fruity and harmonious finish. A balanced and versatile wine, perfect for the everyday table.
