Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC from Cantina Tramin is an elegant and versatile white wine, produced in the heart of Alto Adige, between the towns of Termeno, Ora, and Egna. The grapes come from vineyards located at an altitude of 250 to 500 meters above sea level, on calcareous soils with clay and gravel composition. The climate, characterized by strong temperature fluctuations between day and night, promotes the development of intense aromas and a marked freshness. The winemaking process involves a gentle pressing of the grapes, followed by fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, with partial malolactic fermentation. The aging also takes place in steel, preserving the purity and liveliness of the fruit. Currently available online at a discounted price, it represents an excellent choice for those seeking a quality, fresh, and fragrant white.
Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC – Tramin: Tasting Notes
In appearance, it presents a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of tropical fruit, such as pineapple and banana, accompanied by notes of yellow apple, pear, and citrus, with hints of vanilla and butter. On the palate, it is fresh, elegant, and lively, with good sapidity and pleasant minerality. The finish is long and harmonious, with a retro-nasal persistence that recalls the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with light appetizers, fish dishes, and white meats.
