The Greco di Tufo by Feudi di San Gregorio originates in an ancient and beautiful region, Irpinia, where vineyards, woods, olive trees, fruit trees, and aromatic herbs coexist in harmony. The Greco vineyards of the Capaldo family are located in the municipality of Tufo, which takes its name from the homonymous volcanic rock, and where in 1866 the existence of sulfur mines was discovered, whose processing characterized the economy until the Second World War. The grapes are strictly hand-picked and vinified in steel, where the wine rests for about 4 months on its own lees before bottling.
GRECO DI TUFO FEUDI DI SAN GREGORIO: THE TASTING
The Greco from Feudi di San Gregorio presents itself in the glass with a deep straw yellow; on the nose, it is rich in aromatic herbs, fruit, mineral hints, and fresh almond. On the palate, it has a certain structure, a nice acidity, and a savory and gratifying sip. If the intention is to fully enjoy it, pair it with buffalo mozzarella, with warm tomatoes from the garden, good oil, and a few basil leaves. Summer in your mouth.
