The Etna Rosso Le Sabbie dell'Etna by Firriato comes from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes cultivated in the territory of Castiglione di Sicilia (CT) in the vineyards of Tenuta Cavanera Etnea. Here, the vineyards are located on sandy loam soils of volcanic origin, with a high draining capacity, at an average altitude of 700 meters above sea level. The winemaking process took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and included a 14-day alcoholic fermentation at a temperature of 26-27 °C. The aging occurred for 12 months in 12HL Slavonian oak barrels and for an additional 6 months in the bottle.

Le Sabbie dell'Etna Rosso by Firriato shines in the glass with a ruby red color with purple hues. On the nose, penetrating notes of ripe plum, berry jam, and potpourri intertwine harmoniously with delicate hints of dark spices. The palate is rich and balanced, supported by a light tannic structure and a well-integrated minerality that lingers in the finish, once again focused on the fruit. At the table, it pairs well with cured meats as well as with first and second courses of land-based vegetables and red meats.
