The Sant'Agostino Bianco Baglio Soria Sicilia IGT by Firriato is obtained from Chardonnay and Catarratto grapes cultivated in the Tenuta Baglio Sorìa in the Agro of Trapani. Here, the vineyards are located on calcareous-clay soils, exposed to the South and West at an altitude between 230 and 250 meters above sea level. The aging took place for 6 months on noble lees in stainless steel tanks followed by an additional 4 months in the bottle. The label, produced for the first time with the 1991 vintage, marks the union of the most widespread white grape variety throughout Sicily - the Catarratto, in fact - with the foreign white that has best adapted and expressed itself on the island, Chardonnay. The result is a wine of great character, powerful and refined at the same time.

The Sant'Agostino Bianco Baglio Soria by Firriato shines in the glass with a straw yellow color and golden reflections. Intense and enveloping, on the nose it releases hints of white field flowers and ripe yellow-fleshed fruit that blend with timid notes of vanilla. The taste is full-bodied and rich in fruit, supported by good minerality and a pleasant acidity that refreshes and invites a second sip. At the table, it pairs well with first and second courses of seafood based on fish or shellfish, as well as with simple recipes featuring white meats.
