Girlan Gewürztraminer was produced from 100% Gewürztraminer grapes grown in the Girlan, Mazon and Egna subdivisions, in the province of Bolzano. After the manual harvest, the bunches were transported to the cellar for vinification which was started by soft pressing. The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The refinement took place for a few months, always in stainless steel in contact with the yeasts.
GEWÜRZTRAMINER ALT GIRLAN: THE TASTING
Girlan's Gewürztraminer presents a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose it expresses aromas of litchi and tropical yellow fruit which combine with floral hints of rose and light citrus notes. The taste is soft and pleasant, supported by a clear fresh-savory trail that persists in the finish. At the table it goes well with tasty seafood recipes based on white fish, molluscs and crustaceans.
