The Bolgheri Rute di Guado al Melo was produced from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes grown in the Bolgheri area, a hamlet of Castagneto Carducci, in the province of Livorno. The vineyards of origin insist on sandy-clayey soils of alluvial nature, naturally rich in pebbles. In view of the harvest, the individual vineyard parcels are carefully selected and processed separately. Before marketing, the Rute Bolgheri di Guado al Melo was aged for 12 months on the fine lees and for a further 12 months in the bottle.
BOLGHERI RUTE FORD AL APPLE: TASTING
Guado al Melo's Rute Bolgheri has an intense ruby red color. On the nose it releases aromas of berries that intertwine with hints of Mediterranean scrub and light notes of oriental spices. The taste is soft and elegant, enhanced by silky tannins and a long fruity and balsamic finish. At the table it pairs well with cured meats and mature cheeses as well as tasty land dishes based on red meat or game.
