The Amarone Campi Lunghi from I Campi is made from 85% Corvina and Corvinone grapes, 10% Rondinella, and the remaining 5% Croatina. The name comes from the long rows of 1 hectare of vineyard in Progno di Cellore, in Alta Val d'Illasi; the vines are on average 30 years old, penetrating stony soils at 270 m above sea level with a South-Southeast exposure. The harvest takes place between September and October depending on the season; according to regulations, the grapes dried to produce "Amarone della Valpolicella" cannot be vinified before December 1st. The mass ferments between stainless steel and wood, the wine then ages on its own lees for 6 months and subsequently rests in the bottle for at least another 12 before being released on the market. "Amarone della Valpolicella" wines must undergo an aging period of at least two years starting from January 1st of the year following the harvest of the grapes.

AMARONE CAMPI LUNGHI I CAMPI: THE TASTINGThe Amarone Campi Lunghi from I Campi presents an intense ruby red color; on the nose, it is dense with fruit and sweet spiciness; on the palate, it is savory and balanced, with soft tannins and great length. Very good with roasted duck and its red fruit sauce.
