Illuminati's Montepulciano Lumeggio di Rosso is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes grown in Controguerra, in the province of Teramo. The vineyards are rooted in medium-textured clayey soils, at an altitude of approximately 260 meters above sea level. The winemaking process - including alcoholic and malolactic fermentation - is carried out entirely in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The refinement took place in 25 hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels for 6 months plus a further 2-3 months in the bottle.

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Lumeggio di Rosso has a ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose it expresses aromas of small ripe red fruits, wet earth and dark spices. The sip is soft and structured, supported by well-integrated tannins and good taste-olfactory coherence. Versatile in nature, it pairs well with cured meats and semi-mature cheeses as well as tasty earthy dishes such as the timeless baked lasagna.
