Inama's Vulcaia Sauvignon, together with Vulcaia Fumè, was the first wine produced by the company in 1991. The idea was to make the Soave Classico area known, not with its traditional grapes (Garganega and Turbiana), but with an interpretation of Sauvignon which, grown for the first time on this volcanic soil (lava and alluvial basalt), on Monte Foscarino (between Monteforte d'Alpone and Soave), had given rise to a completely new version of the French variety. The grapes are vinified in steel, just as the refinement takes place in steel.
VULCAIA SAUVIGNON INAMA: THE TASTING
Inama's Vulcaia Sauvignon presents itself at the sight of an intense straw yellow with golden reflections. The nose is floral and citrusy; in the mouth it is refreshing with its acidity and minerality, and extends further with citrus tones. It is a white wine that requires the company of rabbit or chicken meat, for example in a warm salad, or in a pan with vegetables; it is also very good with asparagus risotto or, again recalling this vegetable which goes well with Sauvignon, with eggs and asparagus.
