Founded in 1992, La Fiorita had a initial vine extension of about half a hectare, for an annual production that stood on the thousand bottles of Brunello di Montalcino. The cellar was built in the premises of an ancient oil mill, located in the basement of a building dating back to the eighteenth century, located in the heart of the medieval village of Castelnuovo Abate. Over the years, other plants have been added to the first grape variety, and currently the company has about seven hectares of vineyards overall, divided between the two plots of “Poggio al Sole” and & “Pian Bossolino”, from which about 25 thousand bottles are obtained annually, partition in proportion between vintage Brunello and that interpreted in the “Riserva” version. The main objective of the company, however, has always been and still remains to enhance the expression of the terroir in the grapes used to produce Brunello. The results were more than satisfactory from the beginning, starting from the first vintage, purchased in full by the renowned Pschiorri wine shop, up to Riserva 2006, Brunello included among the fifty best wines in Italy. The future is more than promising.
