The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vaio Armaron Serego Alighieri by Masi is obtained from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara (Serego Alighieri clone) grapes. After selection and bunch thinning in the vineyard, the grapes were prepared for drying in a fruit cellar for 120 days. During this period, the berries lost a significant percentage of water and increased their sugar concentration. Following red winemaking, carried out with maceration of the must on the skins and malolactic fermentation, the wine aged for 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels and for an additional 4 months in cherry wood barrels.

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vaio Armaron Serego Alighieri by Masi presents an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it releases aromas of cherry and small red fruits in jam followed by hints of potpourri of violets and notes of dark spices. The olfactory profile is completed by hints of chocolate, leather, and tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and enveloping, supported by velvety tannins and a warm and enveloping spicy finish. At the table, it pairs well with aged cheeses as well as elaborate meat dishes based on red meats or game.
