The Greco di Tufo by Mastroberardino is made from 100% Greco grapes. The reference vineyards, facing South-East, are rooted in predominantly clay-limestone soils at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level. The harvest was carried out by hand in the second decade of October. The white wine vinification process took place in stainless steel for 20 days at a temperature of 16-18°C. The aging occurred for several months in stainless steel and bottle. It is said that the ancient Greek people of the Pelasgi brought the Greco grape from Thessaly to the Avellino area in the 1st century BC.
GRECO DI TUFO MASTROBERARDINO: THE TASTING
The Greco di Tufo by Mastroberardino presents itself visually with an intense straw yellow color. On the nose, it showcases aromas of peach and tropical yellow-fleshed fruit followed by hints of white flowers and citrus notes of cedar. The palate is soft and well-structured, supported by a gentle freshness and a pronounced minerality that lingers in the finish. At the table, it pairs well with fresh cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as with delicious seafood preparations. It is also worth trying with pizza.
