Mastroberardino's Fiano di Avellino is made from 100% Fiano grapes sourced from vineyards exposed to the Southeast on medium-textured soils, at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level. The harvest took place by hand in the first ten days of October, with a yield of about 70 quintals per hectare. The white winemaking process took place in stainless steel tanks for about 20 days at a temperature of 16-18°C. The aging lasted for several months in stainless steel and in bottles. Fiano is a grape variety known since Roman times when it was called Vitis Apiana due to its particular appeal to bees.
FIANO DI AVELLINO MASTROBERARDINO: TASTING NOTES
Mastroberardino's Fiano di Avellino has a straw yellow color with brilliant reflections. On the nose, it features aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit and notes of white flowers, aromatic herbs, and citrus. On the palate, it is fruity and floral, with good body and vibrant mineral freshness. The finish is pleasant with citrus and almond notes. It pairs well with cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as tasty seafood dishes. It is especially recommended with spaghetti with seafood in white sauce.
