The Pinot Bianco Sirmian from the Nals Margreid cooperative winery, like every other label of the company, bears its own name, to underline its unique character. Sirmian comes from the Sirmiano vineyards, on the slopes that frame Nalles, at almost 1000 meters above sea level, where the rocky soils are rich in porphyry, marble, limestone and mica. The Alpine climate allows for a slightly late harvest; the wine is processed in steel, then aged in oak barrels for about 8 months.
SIRMIAN PINOT BIANCO: THE TASTING
The Pinot Bianco Sirmian from the Nals Margreid cooperative winery appears in the glass with a beautiful shiny straw color. On the nose it smells of apple, pear and grapefruit, rosemary, lemon balm and thyme, and also chamomile and toasted bread. The tasting is based on flavor and freshness which make it a truly inviting drink. How good is the combination with the baked pumpkin served with fresh goat's cheese, but also with the marinated and slightly smoked mackerel.
