The Pinot Grigio Hill from the Nals Margreid cooperative winery, like every other label of the company, bears its own name, to underline its unique character. The grapes come from vineyards over eighty years old near Magrè (Margried, in German, the town from which the company takes its name), where the soils are particularly clayey. The harvest takes place strictly by hand; the vinification is carried out in steel and the wine remains in steel for 5 months to refine.
PINOT GRIGIO HILL NALS MARGREID: THE TASTING
The Pinot Grigio Hill by Nals Margried presents itself in the glass with an intense straw color. The nose is centered on the youthful fermentative aromas of apple and pear, but there is no shortage of characteristic hints of litchi, jasmine and hay. The mouth is harmonious, quite fresh and with hints of salinity. This Pinot Grigio is perfect to start the evening, accompanied with small savory muffins with the scent of the sea, or with vegetables in oil, or even with natural raw prawns.
