Ottin's Petite Arvine is a splendid white based on 100% Petite Arvine, a semi-aromatic grape of Swiss origin. The original vineyards (facing south) are located between the municipalities of Quart and Saint-Cristophe, in the province of Aosta, and lie on morainic and sandy soils, at an altitude between 650 and 700 meters above sea level. To start the winemaking process, whole bunch pressing was carried out. The must thus obtained was fermented for 2-3 weeks at a controlled temperature. The refinement took place in stainless steel for a period of 7 months in contact with the fine lees.PETITE ARVINE OTTIN: THE TASTINGThe Petite Arvine Vallee of Ottin presents itself to the eye as having a straw yellow colour. On the nose it releases aromas of tropical yellow fruit which combines with balsamic hints of aromatic herbs and shy notes of flint. The sip is fresh and vertical, enhanced by a vibrant minerality that persists in the long finish. At the table it pairs well with fresh and semi-mature cheeses as well as vegetarian dishes and delicious seafood recipes based on white fish, molluscs and crustaceans.
