The grapes for this Barolo Patrizi come from three distinct vineyards and are fermented and macerated in stainless steel for about 20 days at controlled temperatures (28-29°C). The aging takes place separately in Austrian and Slavonian oak barrels, with a capacity ranging from 40-60 to 75 hl, for a period of 30 months. Subsequently, the various Barolos are blended in the spring to be bottled at the end of summer. The final aging, which lasts six months, occurs in the bottle before marketing.
Barolo DOCG - Patrizi: Tasting Notes
The wine presents itself with a bright garnet red color. On the nose, it is intense and ethereal, with notes of quinine, pepper, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is dry, full, and persistent, with well-present tannins. The finish is long and persistent, with a delicate fruity aftertaste reminiscent of jam.
