The natural Passito di Pantelleria Giardino Pantesco by Pellegrino is 100% Zibibbo grown in the traditional alberello pantesco style, a UNESCO heritage. On the island, the soils are of volcanic origin, sandy and slightly clayey, and the vineyards are located between sea level and 300 meters in altitude; here, the climate is predominantly Mediterranean, with mild winters, limited rainfall, and hot, breezy summers, conditions that allow for the natural health of the plants. Harvesting takes place in the first and second decade of September. Part of the grapes is gently pressed and fermentation begins; after a certain time, the portion of grapes dried in the meantime is added, and the fermentation process continues until the desired level of residual sugars is reached. The wine then matures in steel tanks at controlled temperature for 10 months.

On the nose, it offers enveloping notes of apricot and dried fig, prickly pear jelly, and candied cedar. On the palate, it is aromatically consistent, with the softness of honey and the freshness of citrus. To create a happy pairing from across the ocean, this Passito is excellent with American Pecan Pie.
