The Müller Thurgau Dola di Pfitscher is made from 100% Müller Thurgau grapes grown in the Fiè allo Sciliar area, in the province of Bolzano, at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level. The alcoholic fermentation took place in steel at a controlled temperature of 18°C; the aging lasted for several months in steel barrels in contact with the yeasts, a choice that allowed the wine to enrich itself in terms of body, substances, and aromas. The Müller Thurgau is a grape variety originating from Germany, resulting from the crossing of Riesling Renano and Madeleine Royale, which has found in Trentino Alto Adige one of its ideal areas for optimal expression.
MÜLLER THURGAU DOLA PFITSCHER: TASTING
The Müller Thurgau Dola Alto Adige Valle Isarco DOC 2020 by Pfitscher presents itself with a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of apple and yellow-fleshed fruit that are associated with hints of aromatic herbs and delicate spicy notes of nutmeg. The palate is fresh and fruity, supported by a good body and a noticeable minerality that lingers in the finish. At the table, it pairs well with fresh cheeses, vegetarian dishes, as well as tasty seafood recipes based on white fish and shellfish.
