Planeta's Nero d'Avola Plumbago is made from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes from the Menfi and Sambuca di Sicilia area, in the province of Agrigento. The vineyards here are located on medium calcareous soils, at an altitude between 75 and 195 meters above sea level. The harvest was carried out by hand with a yield of 70-80 quintals per hectare. During the winemaking, the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel at a maximum temperature of 24-25°C for 8 days with maceration of the must in contact with the skins for 10-12 days. The refinement took place for 10 months in 3rd and 4th passage Alliers oak barriques and tonneaux.

Planeta's Plumbago Nero d'Avola presents itself to the eye with a ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose it expresses aromas of plum and ripe berries which combine with floral hints of jasmine and light notes of incense and dark spices. The taste is soft and intense, supported by smooth tannins and a pleasant fresh-savory trail that persists in the finish. At the table it pairs well with semi-mature cheeses as well as tasty land recipes based on red meat.
