The Rosso di Montalcino from Podere Brizio is produced from vineyards located southwest of Montalcino, at an altitude of 330-350 meters facing the sea and Maremma. This area is the warmest in Montalcino, where the soil is composed of sandstones and rocky marls, allowing for the creation of mineral wines with good structure. Traditionally vinified with spontaneous fermentation led by indigenous yeasts, it is then aged in non-toasted French oak barrels of 54Hl for 12 months and refined in the bottle for at least 3 months. Podere Brizio is part of a global network of wineries owned by Alejandro Pedro Bulgheroni, an Argentine magnate and entrepreneur in the oil and gas sector, alongside Poggio Landi and other important Tuscan entities.ROSSO DI MONTALCINO PODERE BRIZIO: TASTINGThe Rosso di Montalcino from Podere Brizio is a deep ruby red. On the nose, it is young and fragrant, with notes of wild berries, bay leaves, rosemary, scorched earth, mentholated balsams, and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, it is fresh, slightly savory, with well-integrated tannins and a pleasant finish of aromatic herbs. Perfect for classic crostini with Tuscan chicken liver pâté (which is based on chicken livers, anchovies, and capers).
