The Pommery Apanage Brut Champagne is a historic label in absolute terms in Champagne. It was indeed Louise Pommery, who started wine production only in 1858, after the death of her husband Louis, who decided to take a step towards the dominant taste of the great potential buyers of the time (Americans, Russians, and English) by producing, in 1874, the first Brut cuvée of Champagne. The Brut Royal is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir.
CHAMPAGNE APANAGE BRUT POMMERY: TASTING
The Pommery Apanage Brut Champagne presents itself in the glass with a lively straw-yellow color, with sparkling greenish reflections. On the nose, it is rich in citrus notes and white flowers, with hints of gooseberry. On the palate, it is elegant with a very fine perlage, a beautiful balanced taste, and a particularly inviting drink. To sip and relax, it is the perfect start to any evening in good company; even more so if you have sage to fry, some anchovies, and salted butter from Normandy.
