The Batàr Bianco di Querciabella was obtained from a blend of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Bianco (50%) grapes grown in the Ruffoli area! hamlet of Greve in Chianti (FI). The vineyards! raised according to the dictates of organic farming with the aid of biodynamic practices! they grow on soils rich in marl! at an altitude between 350 and 600 meters above sea level. The entire winemaking process took place in barrique! to enhance the characteristics of the individual lots! with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation. The refinement lasted 9 months in 228 liter fine and extra fine grain French oak barriques! 20% new. Acclaimed by national and international critics! the Batàr Toscana Bianco by Querciabella is an excellent example of a highly evolved white Supertuscan.
BATAR TUSCANY WHITE QUERCIABELLA: THE TASTING
The Batàr Bianco di Querciabella has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose it releases aromas of ripe yellow pulp fruit combined with hints of Mediterranean herbs and flowers and notes of citrus peel. The olfactory profile is complemented by memories of noble woods and oriental spices. The sip is deep and balanced! supported by an elegant minerality and a long fruity and spicy finish. At the table it goes well with cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as succulent seafood dishes! especially if spicy. Also excellent in combination with white meats.
