The Gewürztraminer Sanct Valentin from San Michele Appiano is made from 100% Gewürztraminer grapes grown in the areas of Cortaccia, Caldaro, and Appiano, in the province of Bolzano. The original vineyards include plants that are between 5 and 35 years old, with a southeast exposure and are situated on gravelly and calcareous-clay soils, at an altitude ranging from 300 to 500 meters above sea level. After the manual harvest, which takes place between mid-September and early October, the grapes are sent for winemaking, which includes a maceration phase of the must in contact with the skins followed by soft pressing and fermentation in stainless steel. Before bottling, the Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC Sanct Valentin has aged for 6 months in stainless steel on its own lees, thus enriching itself in terms of body, substances, and aromas.

The Gewürztraminer Sanct Valentin from San Michele Appiano presents itself with a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, it expresses enveloping aromas of lychee and tropical fruits intertwined with floral notes of rose and delicate hints of oriental spices. The palate is harmonious and pleasantly aromatic, supported by an elegant mineral freshness that lingers in the finish. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with aged and blue cheeses as well as vegetarian dishes and tasty seafood recipes based on white fish, mollusks, and crustaceans.
