The Pinot Noir from San Michele Appiano is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Caldaro and Appiano regions, in the province of Bolzano. The originating vineyards include vines aged between 5 and 25 years with exposure to the south, southeast, and southwest, and are located on morainic deposits and gravelly-limestone soils, at an altitude ranging from 400 to 550 meters above sea level. After the manual harvest, carried out in the first half of September, the grapes were sent for vinification which included a phase of alcoholic fermentation in steel. Before bottling, the Alto Adige DOC 2018 Pinot Noir from San Michele Appiano matured for 4-6 months in large barrels.

The Pinot Noir from San Michele Appiano presents itself in the glass with a light garnet red color. On the nose, it releases aromas of blackberries, raspberries, and small berries intertwined with floral hints of violet and gentle notes of oriental spices. The taste is harmonious and elegant, supported by lively but well-integrated tannins and a gentle fresh-salty trail that lingers in the finish. At the table, it pairs well with aged cheeses and hearty dishes based on red meat and game.
