The Leone Blend by Tasca d'Almerita is made from Catarratto (49%), Sauvignon (18%), Pinot Bianco (15%), Gewürztraminer (10%), and Moscato (8%) grapes. The vineyards are located in the high hills, at an altitude ranging from 500 to 900 meters above sea level. The harvest was carried out with a yield of about 65 quintals per hectare. During vinification, the alcoholic fermentation phase took place for 15 days in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 14-16 °C. The aging occurred also in stainless steel, for a period of 4 months, in contact with the yeasts.

On the nose, it expresses aromas of white and tropical fruit that combine with hints of spring flowers and notes of Mediterranean citrus. The taste is intense and pleasant, enhanced by a clear fresh-salty trail that lingers in the finish. At the table, it pairs well with vegetarian dishes and rich seafood recipes like fried fish.
