The Bolgheri Gattabuia by Tenuta Moraia is made up of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. The Bolgheri denomination area enjoys the best conditions of the Mediterranean climate, with pleasant refreshing sea breezes. The significant day-night temperature variations ensure the development of aromas and maintain acidity. The soils consist of a layer of clay, with sand and pebbles. The grapes for Gattabuia are harvested at full ripeness, carefully selected, vinified separately, undergoing prolonged maceration at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, with daily pump-overs. After a period of stabilization of the masses, the wines are blended and aged in French barriques for a year, then further in bottle for a minimum of 4 months.
BOLGHERI GATTABUIA TENUTA DI MORAIA: THE TASTING
The Bolgheri Gattabuia by Tenuta Moraia presents a dark ruby color with violet reflections. On the nose, it combines notes of cherry, currant, and blueberry, with herbaceous tones of Mediterranean scrub, spicy and toasted sensations of pepper and coffee. On the palate, it is fresh and focused on fruit, with integrated tannins and a balsamic finish. Excellent with marinated pork belly cooked at low temperature.
