The Müller Thurgau Merus from Tiefenbrunner is part of the Classic Merus line: the Latin term merus (pure) refers to the frank expression of the character of the grape variety. The grapes, which come from vineyards in Bassa Atesina, are vinified in concrete or steel tanks. The wines thus obtained are bottled young and fresh. Müller Thurgau, in particular, is produced with grapes coming from the hilly vineyards in the Corona area, a hamlet of Cortaccia (750 -900m above sea level), on soils composed of calcareous gravel from moraine sediments. The fermentation is carried out in steel at a controlled temperature, followed by 4 months' aging on the fine yeasts in a concrete tank.

The Müller Thurgau Merus by Tiefenbrunner is straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose recalls lemon balm, fresh mountain grass, peach and apple with hints of cedar and nutmeg. In the mouth it is lively, with beautiful flavor and delicate acidity. Beautiful thirst-quenching drink, it is the perfect aperitif in the company of, for example, fillets of salmon trout marinated in herbs, salted butter and rye bread.
